Stories are always live on our dedicated websiteFacebook and Instagram! Follow us to share and read stories about the positive impact that male allies make in the workplace and society, told through the voices of inspirational women.

The Corner of the Court Project supports a key research finding that men are more likely to confidently support diversity, if they are aware that their positive ally behaviors make an impact.

More About the Project:

In her keynote speech at the WISE Women of Inspiration awards in Los Angeles, Rachana Bhide opened with a compelling story about being a young female tennis player on a team of all boys.  When it came time to face her opponent — her summer crush, Evan — a young Rachana stood on the baseline and asked herself for the first time “….the question that every woman asks herself at some point in her career.  Do I let him win?’”

The Corner of the Court” is a metaphor for Rachana’s tennis coach, who was standing in the corner of the court.  He had not known his impact at the time, but he inspired her to not hold back on her talents and instead play to win.  Which she did, that day.

The match ended with two very telling outcomes she would carry with her.  Evan never spoke to her again.  And her tennis coach — who was also her older brother, a state champion tennis player who had spent his summer training her — was her first visible champion, on the court and off.

The Corner of the Court Project has become a grassroots movement and visible mosaic of successful women’s voices, encouraging men to step up and support gender equality through men’s natural roles as fathers, bosses, brothers and friends.
